Pee in the shower to save water
In Sao Paulo the most populous city in the southern hemisphere the environmental organisation SOS Mata Atlantica is running a campaign to get Brazilians to pee in the shower to reduce water consumption and protect the environment.
"Every flush of the loo uses around 12 litres of water.Flushing once a day makes a total of 4380 litres per year" says the organisation which is trying to protect the Malta Atlantica, the Atlantic rain forest.
The organisation also dispels the the fears of the 'hygienics' by adding that Pee is made up of 95% water and the rest is urea and salt.
